Serving as the finale for the Faculty of Health series at York University, this video utilizes a fast-paced, editorial explainer style to promote the Global Health program. Developed from a minimal script, the project showcases complete creative freedom across storyboarding, cinematography, and multi-layered post-production.
This project required a heavy emphasis on pre-visualization and asset creation to turn a conceptual script into an engaging visual narrative. The mixed-media pipeline bridged vector design in Illustrator with seamless editing in Premiere and After Effects. To elevate the production value, the piece features a custom-rendered 3D orbital asset designed in Cinema 4D and Redshift.

How it got made.
Selected stills for the project, either a in-progress image or a reference.
Produced as part of my work at Learning Technology Services for York University, this project served as the finale for a video series promoting the Faculty of Health’s Global Health program.
Our creative direction drew heavy inspiration from Vox-style media explainers, prioritizing smooth motion, fluid transitions, and thoughtful graphics. Because the initial script provided by the department was minimal, the project required a major storyboarding and concept generation phase. This gave our team immense creative freedom to build the visual identity from the ground up.
My producer and I handled the production shoot, and I executed the post-production workflow. Asset design began in Adobe Illustrator, with 2D motion graphics and final editing completed in After Effects and Premiere. To anchor the video’s high-end aesthetic, I modeled and animated a custom rotating Earth sequence using Cinema 4D, rendered via Redshift.
The York University logo intro was custom designed to provide a unifying theme for the project series.
