Produced for York University’s Learning Technology Services, this documentary-style video highlights the Disability Law Intensive program at Osgoode Hall Law School. The project captures authentic student experiences to create an engaging, narrative-driven alternative to traditional promotional media.
Delivered from concept to final client approval within a tight two-week window, the project relied on structured on-camera coaching to draw out genuine narratives from student interviewees. Post-production was executed in Final Cut Pro X, featuring a streamlined motion graphics workflow powered by custom templates built in Apple Motion.

How it got made.

Part of my work at Learning Technology Services for York University.
The brief for this video was to help highlight the Disability Law Intensive program for future students at Osgoode Hall Law School. The program is held at York in conjunction with the ARCH Disability Law Centre.
My producer and I interviewed a number of students for this project, focusing heavily on ensuring the video told the right narrative. We coached the students to help them perform well on camera while still authentically telling their own stories, treating this shoot more like a documentary than a promotion.
The video was edited in Final Cut Pro X, and the motion graphics were handled via reusable templates I created in Motion. Overall, the project took two weeks to complete and was well received by the client.
